Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has withdrawn from Brazil’s squad for their friendlies against England and Spain next week.
The 32-year-old has already spent a lengthy period on the treatment table this season and it appears he could be set for another extended injury layoff:
Supporters on X are not overly surprised and many are contemplating whether United should dispense with Casemiro’s services at the end of the season:
He is becoming injury prone little little this season surely he is going to Saudi next season

Casemiro has missed a lot of football this campaign
The Brazilian international spent the best part of three months on the sidelines at the end of last year, missing 17 matches in total.
It should be noted that it is the joint longest spell he has been unavailable in his entire professional career. It does seem like he is becoming more injury-prone as he gets older.
United may have issues if they decide to sell him
Casemiro still has over two years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford, and he is earning a staggering £350,000 a week, which is the same amount as Liverpool’s Mo Salah.
Very few teams in Europe would be able to afford him so, if the Red Devils do opt to offload the player this summer, they will be keeping their fingers crossed that a team from Saudi Arabia makes an approach.
