Latest Manchester United Injury News: Updates On Casemiro, Reguilon, Mainoo And 5 Other Players

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could be back available to face FC Copenhagen in the Champions League.

The Brazilian did not travel for the game against Sheffield United after picking up an ankle injury on international duty with Brazil but manager Erik ten Hag has said that he is “confident” that the player will return very soon.

Sergio Reguilon is still carrying a hamstring problem. The Spaniard has not played since the 1-0 win over Burnley last month and it was expected that the defender would be in contention following the international break.

He wasn’t in the matchday squad for the game at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening but it is hoped that he will be ready to play in upcoming fixtures.

Kobbie Mainoo has been pictured back in full training after recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in pre-season. Ten Hag has said that he wants to give the teenager “some minutes” against Copenhagen.

Of course, any cameo from the bench may depend on the scoreline, and whether United are in a position to hand Mainoo a run-out. Having lost their first two group fixtures, a win on Tuesday evening is vital to keep the club’s hopes of qualification for the knockout stages alive.

Updates on the fitness of 5 other United players

Amad Diallo (knee) has confirmed he is closing in on a return to training after finishing his rehabilitation. However, Luke Shaw (muscular) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (hamstring) remain sidelined with their respective injuries. There is hope that both may be available again sometime in November.

Lisandro Martinez has had an operation to fix a broken metatarsal but he is likely to be out until January. Tyrell Malacia is still recovering from knee surgery he had back in the summer.
