United Identify TWO Key Transfer Targets For The January Transfer Window

Manchester United will prioritise an attacking midfielder and a striker in the January transfer window, according to Goal.com.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has prioritised those two positions for next month, as he looks to bring more creativity and goals to the squad that has scored just 26 in 17 league games this campaign.

Leicester’s James Maddison would be at the top of United’s list of targets, but with the Foxes unlikely to sell in January, the Red Devils have turned their focus back to Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.

Spurs are willing to sell to a rival in January as chairman Daniel Levy does not want the Dane to leave on a free transfer. The playmaker reportedly turned down a move to Old Trafford in the summer so United will need to see if he has had a change of heart.

In terms of their no.1 striker target, Solskjaer has switched his attention away from Juventus’s Mario Mandzukic to Erling Haaland. Reports suggest a £76m move could well be on the cards in January.
