United Identify 50M Rated Bundesliga Star As Potential Antony Alternative

Manchester United are considering whether to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim that the Red Devils have identified the France international as a potential option as they consider alternatives to Ajax’s Antony.

It has been reported that the Brazilian could cost as much as €100m (£84m) so it is not surprising that United manager Erik ten Hag has decided to look at other targets.

Leverkusen are believed to be prepared to let Diaby leave for a fee in the region of €60m (£50m) to €70m (£58.5m), which would make him a far more realistic proposition.

However, it should be pointed out that the player has spoken out in recent days to confirm that he plans to remain in Germany for at least another season. With that being the case, United may have to use their powers of persuasion to engineer a move this summer.

Other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle, have also been credited with an interest in Diaby, though, so there is likely to be competition for the 23-year-old’s services.
