United Hold Talks Over Signing 35M Rated World Cup Star Who ‘Can Leave’ If The ‘Right Offer’ Arrives This Month

Dumfries

Manchester United have been deep in “discussion” with Inter Milan about signing Denzel Dumfries, according to TMW.

The Italian site reports that the Red Devils are very interested in recruiting the Dutchman, who starred for his country at the World Cup.

It is believed that Dumfries “can leave” the San Siro if the “right offer” arrives before the January transfer window closes, with Inter keen on raising funds to balance the books.

After his success at the World Cup, there had been a number of reports suggesting that the Nerazzurri may hold out for around €50m (£44m) to €60m (£53m) to sell the 26-year-old. However, TMW claim a deal could be done for as low as €40m (£35m).

Whether United will be tempted by that price, we shall have to wait and see. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has impressed in recent outings and it is thought that Erik ten Hag’s side won’t move for another right-back if he isn’t sold this month.
