United Hold ‘Strong Interest’ As They Prepare To Battle 3 PL Rivals For 131M Rated Midfielder

Manchester United do retain a “strong interest” in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to The Athletic.

The Red Devils tried to sign the England international before he made the switch to Germany two years ago but they are expected to make another attempt to secure his signature next summer.

However, competition for Bellingham’s services is expected to be fierce with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea also said to be keen on the teenager, along with Real Madrid.

Dortmund’s asking price is likely to be a major obstacle for any team attempting to snap up the player. Unlike Erling Haaland, he doesn’t have a release clause and the midfielder is not looking to leave the Bundesliga club.

It means Bellingham is currently valued at a staggering €150m (£131m), which could lead to a number of teams withdrawing from the race to sign him. Whether United would be willing to break their transfer record for the 19-year-old, we shall have to wait and see.
