United Have Made An Enquiry For £17M Rated La Liga Star Who Idolises Club Legend

Manchester United have been in touch with Mallorca to register their interest in attacking midfielder Kang-in Lee, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The Red Devils have, though, not gone beyond an enquiry at this stage as any signings remain dependent on the club’s ownership situation being resolved.

Still, it appears that Lee is a player being watched, with the South Korean international having impressed for Mallorca in La Liga this season, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 34 appearances.

Atletico Madrid and a number of Premier League teams are also said to be scouting the 22-year-old, whose value is approximately €20m (£17m), according to CIES Football Observatory.

A move to United would likely be Lee’s preference. It is believed that one of his idols is Ji-Sung Park, who spent seven years at Old Trafford, winning no less than ten major trophies.

A Few Things United Fans Need To Know About Kang-in Lee

The midfielder had a decorated career in youth football, being named South Korean and Asian Young Player of the Year in 2019.

Lee was the standout player at the 2019 Under 20 World Cup, winning the Golden Ball, player of the tournament, as well as being named in the team of the tournament.

The South Korean also holds the record for the youngest player from his country to play in Europe.
