United Have Identified Priority Signing With Four Players Named On Summer Transfer Wishlist

Manchester United have made signing a new centre-back a priority, according to ESPN. The website reports that the Red Devils have identified four players that they would like to sign to reinforce the position.

Sevilla’s Jules Kounde has been mentioned as a target before and it is believed the former Manchester City target is being looked at ahead of a potential summer bid.

Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane is also a name under consideration, with the France international closing in on the final twelve months of his contract at the Bernabeu. There are other reports, though, that suggest Chelsea could also be in the running for the 27-year-old.

Sporting Braga’s David Carmo is another player who has been linked with United before, and it seems the young defender remains of interest. The 21-year-old was the subject of a bid from Liverpool before the January transfer window closed.

The final player on shortlist is believed to be Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings with the England international having impressed for the Villans. There is no place for Dayot Upamecano, though, with Bayern Munich reportedly now favourites to sign the RB Leipzig centre-half.
