United Have £25.6m Offer Turned Down For In Demand Swedish Talent

Manchester United have had a €30m (£25.6m) bid turned down for Parma attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, according to FCInternews.it. The Swedish international was reportedly subject to a €25m (£21.4m) offer plus €5m (£4.2m) in bonuses.

The player’s parent club Atalanta reportedly rejected their proposal, deeming it not an acceptable amount for the 19-year-old. The Red Devils were also willing to give the midfielder €2m (£1.71m) a season salary.

Despite the failure, though, United are still said to be the leading candidates to sign Kulusevski in the January transfer window.

The Swede’s other potential suitors, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all more interested in signing him in the summer while Inter Milan are unsure over whether they should make a bid.

Atalanta are believed to be willing to sell Kulusevski, but only for the right price. The teenager has made 18 appearances during his loan spell at Parma, having scored four goals and contributed six assists.
