United Handed Massive Transfer Boost As 25M Rated Dutch Ace Gives Green Light To PL Switch

Bayer Leverkusen wingback Jeremie Frimpong is “really keen” on a move to the Premier League, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester United are said to be the Dutch international’s main suitors at the moment and Romano says that the player would be delighted to make the switch to Old Trafford:

“What we can say is that Frimpong would be really keen, Frimpong would love Premier League football in general, and Manchester United in this case.”

Romano did clarify that “no direct negotiations” have taken place between United and Leverkusen yet but the fact that Frimpong could be available for only £25m in January makes him an attractive target.

There is likely to be competition for the former Manchester City and Celtic player’s signature, though. Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old so Erik ten Hag’s side may have to move fast to snap up the right-back.

Alternatives, such as Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, have also been considered but Frimpong’s interest in moving back to England may prove to be the deciding factor.
