United Handed Big Transfer Boost With 70M Serie A Ace Keen To ‘Play For’ Erik Ten Hag

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic “would like to play for” Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, according to 90min.com.

The website claims that the Serbian international is being offered to clubs by Juve following the Serie A side’s fifteen-point deduction for false accounting.

United had previously considered Vlahovic as a transfer target before he made the switch to Turin last January but they have since moved on to other options, including Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane and Benjamin Sesko.

Even so, the Serbian international’s availability may lead to the Red Devils’ recruitment reconsidering their stance on the transfer, especially if the forward is keen on working with ten Hag.

Other teams, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and PSG have also been made aware of Vlahovic’s availability but United’s pursuit will be dependent on qualifying for the Champions League.

Juventus are expected to demand €80m (£70m) for the striker, and an offer of that magnitude would have implications for Financial Fair Play. However, with Kane said to be considering signing a new deal with Tottenham, Sesko joining RB Leipzig and Osimhen likely to cost a lot more, Vlahovic could still be the easiest option to sign on United’s shortlist.
