United Fall Four Places In Forbes’ Most Valuable Sports Teams

Manchester United have dropped four places from second to sixth in Forbes’ 50 Most Valuable Sports Teams.

The American magazine says that the Red Devils have dropped 8% in value ($313m) over the past year, from $4.123billion to $3.81billion, slipping behind both Real Madrid and Barcelona, with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys topping the rankings.

It has been a turbulent time on the pitch for United over the last 12 months but despite the slight fall in their valuation, Forbes say that the Manchester club are still far and away the most valuable English club.

The next Premier League team on the list is Manchester City, who are 25th, valued at $2.69billion after a 9% increase in their value over the last year.

Chelsea are 32nd with a valuation of $2.58billion, while Arsenal are 42nd and worth $2.27 billion. Liverpool weren’t even on the list in 2018, but they are 45th this time around, being valued at $2.28billion.
