Manchester United are stepping up their interest in Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to the Sun. The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old in recent months and scouts have been sending glowing reports back about his performances this season.
The Italian international is a player in high demand, with United’s rivals Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan all said to be keen on the player.
Brescia are reportedly very reluctant to let Tonali leave, with many observers believing he is a once in a generation talent. He generally plays as the anchor man in midfield, much like Andrea Pirlo used to do, and he has a good passing range.
The Sun report that the Italian could, though, be sold if a fee in the region of £40m is tabled. He has made nine appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, scoring once and providing two assists.
