United ‘Expected To Open Discussions’ Over 85M Transfer

Manchester United are likely to make another attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer, according to Eurosport.

With claims in Germany that Dortmund will reduce their valuation to £85m, it is believed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are “expected to open discussions” after becoming more receptive to the new price tag.

Sancho was valued at around €120m (£104m), which led to the Red Devils dropping out of negotiations last summer, but it appears that there is a greater likelihood of a transfer happening now.

United are also thought to have additional funding because they are no longer prioritising a new centre-back, with Eric Bailly having signed a new contract. Whether it will be enough to reach the £85m needed, we shall see.

Recent reports do say that Chelsea and Liverpool may also get involved in the battle for Sancho, although it is not believed that either club see the England international as their number one target.
