United Enter Race For 64M Rated Serie A Ace After He Turns Down New Contract

Manchester United could get involved in the battle to sign Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Viola’s president Rocco Commisso has confirmed that the Serie A side have failed to reach an agreement over a contract extension, prompting speculation that the 21-year-old could leave next year.

Vlahovic has also been linked with Manchester City, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Juventus in recent months so the Serbian international could have plenty of options to choose from.

Fiorentina won’t allow the forward to leave for less than €75m (£64m); a figure similar to what it would cost to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Considering they already have Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial on the books as well, you can’t see United making a formal bid for Vlahovic any time soon.

If Cavani and Martial were both to leave at the end of the season, and the Red Devils fail to recruit Haaland, then it would make more sense to go after Vlahovic.
