United Decide To Enter Five Team Battle For “Ridiculous” Forward With A “Wand” For A Left Foot

Manchester United are among the five clubs who are seriously interested in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Serbian international could be sold during the January transfer window, with Juve keen to balance the books, despite only snapping up the forward from Fiorentina at the start of this year.

United will be joined by Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain in the race for Vlahovic, who has scored seven goals in 19 appearances this campaign.

BBC pundit Micah Richards is a massive fan of the 22-year-old, having waxed lyrical about the player’s abilities during his time at Fiorentina:

“I have watched him a couple of times now. He is lightning. It’s ridiculous. He has got 16 in 18 this season. His left foot is like a wand. I am telling you now, he is everything, he is everything you need.”

Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has already expressed his desire to sign a new forward but funds for January are said to be limited. With Juventus keen to recoup the €80m (£69m) they spent on Vlahovic, it is not certain that United will have the resources to match the Serbian’s valuation.
