Bayern Munich defender David Alaba “already has an agreement” to sign for Real Madrid this summer, according to Marca. The Madrid based publication claims the La Liga champions have beaten off fierce competition for the Austrian’s signature.
It was previously reported that Manchester United, along with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea were all keen on snapping up the 28-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Alaba’s contract at Bayern expires in June and it has been confirmed by his club that the player will be leaving when his current deal ends, leading to a scramble to secure his services.
It has already been claimed once in recent weeks that the Austrian international would be moving to Real, but that report was later denied by the German media. Whether this latest story will also be knocked down in similar fashion, we shall have to wait and see.
