United Dealt Setback As Club DOUBLE Asking Price For South American Teenage Sensation

Manchester United will now have to pay €10m (£9m) if they want to sign Independiente del Valle midfielder Moises Caicedo, according to reports in Ecuador.

An initial price tag of $6m (£4.4m) was initially slapped on the 19-year-old but it seems interest from other clubs has led to his team asking for more money.

It is believed that there are now several English clubs pursuing Caicedo, in addition to United. Chelsea, Brighton and Newcastle have all been mentioned recently as teams who are keeping tabs on the player.

With Independiente del Valle having reportedly not agreed terms with any club yet, it does appear the Red Devils are no longer favourites to sign the Ecuadorian international.

Caicedo’s move to Old Trafford had already been held up due to a couple of issues, which were laid out by journalist Fabrizio Romano, and it’s likely that the increased asking price will only complicate matters further.
