United Could Target A FOURTH Chelsea Player As Ten Hag Turns Attention Away From De Jong

Manchester United are weighing up whether to make an offer for Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic this summer, according to reports in England.

The Croatian international will have just twelve months remaining on his contract at the end of the season and the Blues will consider offloading him if he doesn’t put pen to paper on an extension.

Kovacic has already been linked with Manchester City and Liverpool but it appears United have also now identified him as a potential target.

Manager Erik ten Hag is still looking to add more depth in midfield, and with a move for Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong seemingly dead in the water, Kovacic could well be a viable alternative.

The 28-year-old is not the only Chelsea player who has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford this week. The Red Devils have been suggested as possible suitors for Joao Felix if the Portuguese forward doesn’t move to Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis. Ten Hag’s side are also said to be keeping tabs on Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount.
