United, Chelsea And Tottenham All Interested With Club Set To ‘Listen To Offers’ For World Cup Winner

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are keen on signing Emi Martinez after Aston Villa made him available for transfer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Argentine, who played a key role in helping his country win the World Cup last year, has ambitions of playing in the Champions League and Villa are willing to “listen to offers”.

Martinez joined the Villans from Arsenal for £20m in 2020, and it is believed that the Midlands club are keen to make a substantial profit on the player.

United’s interest is dependent on whether David De Gea signs a new contract. The Spaniard has been in excellent form this season but his current deal expires in June.

It is believed that the Red Devils have offered the player an extension but he will have to take a pay cut to remain at Old Trafford. If United’s number one refuses the offer, the club may then turn their attention to Martinez.
