Manchester United, AC Milan and Schalke are all interested in signing Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik, according to Sport1. The German TV station claims the three teams are looking to snap up the Polish international when the transfer window reopens.
It is believed that Napoli value the 26-year-old at around €60m (£52m) but the price tag is likely to be reduced due to the fact his current contract expires at the end of next season.
United’s pursuit will also be boosted by the fact that Milik has previously admitted that he supported United growing up:
“As a kid, I was a big fan of Manchester United, but now as a footballer I’m just a professional. My favourite team is the one I play for at the moment.”
The Pole has been in decent form for Napoli this campaign, having scored 12 goals in 22 appearances, but his injury record may well be a concern for the Red Devils.
Milik has had groin, knee and muscular injuries over the course of this campaign, and he also suffered serious knee injuries during his first two seasons after arriving in Italy from Ajax in 2016.
