United Are ‘Prepared To Pay’ 59M For 63 Cap International With Lucrative Contract Offer Already Tabled

Manchester United are “prepared to pay” €70m (£59m) for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, according to journalist Andy Mitten.

Writing for The National newspaper, the Manchester-based reporter claims that the Red Devils have already made a contract offer to the 30-year-old, which is “substantially more” than what he is currently earning at the Bernabeu.

Casemiro is said to be happy to stay at Real, but his long-term future with the La Liga champions is in doubt, due to the signings of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.

For that reason, the Brazilian, who has been capped 63 times by his country, will take United’s offer under serious consideration. There are, though, elements that could sway his final decision on the matter.

Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of Casemiro, and it’s still possible that he could be persuaded to stay in Spain by his manager. Chelsea have also been credited with an interest so United will also have to be wary about their presence. There is, therefore, a long way to go before the Manchester club can be confident about a deal happening.
