United And Spurs Both Tracking Serie A Star Who Could Leave On A Free If 99K A Week Contract Demands Are Not Met

Manchester United and Tottenham are keeping tabs on Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic’s contract situation, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Croatian international’s current deal expires at the end of the season but he wants €6m a year (approximately £99,000 a week) to stay at the San Siro. At the moment, the Nerazzurri can’t afford to give in to his demands due to the size of the current wage bill.

Brozovic has been linked with a move to United for the best part of a year and the fact that he could soon be available on a free transfer may encourage them to go ahead with an offer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are in desperate need of another midfield option and Brozovic, who won the Serie A title last season, would certainly fit the bill.

They will have competition for the 28-year-old’s signature though. Paris Saint-Germain, as well as Spurs, have also taken a keen interest in the player.
