United And Premier League Rival Prepared To Pay £40m For Bournemouth Star

Manchester United and Tottenham are both interested in Bournemouth winger David Brooks, according to reports in the UK.

The two Premier League clubs are said to be prepared to pay £40m for the Welsh international, but the Cherries are determined to keep the 21-year-old and are looking to offer him a new contract.

Brooks only joined from Sheffield United for £11.5m in July but has already proven in the first six months of his time playing in the Premier League that he is capable of playing at the top level.

The former Manchester City youth player has scored five goals and provided two assists in 20 league games so far this season.

Brooks is currently on just £20,000 a week at the Vitality Stadium, but it looks as though he could be offered more than double that in order to stay.

It has been a rapid rise for a player who only made his league debut for Sheffield United last season.
