Norrkoping attacking midfielder Isak Bergmann Johannesson is expected to snub both Manchester United and Liverpool this summer, according to reports in Sweden.

The two English clubs, along with Juventus and Real Madrid, have been keeping tabs on the teenager’s progress and it is believed he will be sold for between 50m SEK (£4.3m) and 70m SEK (£6m).

However, Johannesson has already decided that he will only move to a team where he is guaranteed first-team football, seemingly ruling out high-profile English, Italian and Spanish clubs.

The 18-year-old has only made 43 senior appearances in his career so far, but his promise has led to him getting his first cap for Iceland back in November last year. He has subsequently played three more times at international level.

Johannesson was, though, born in England, so he wouldn’t have needed a work permit, but it seems he won’t be on his way to Old Trafford.
