United And City On Alert As Argentinian Star’s ‘Excessive’ £260k A Week Wage Demands Prompt Exit Talk

Manchester United and Manchester City are the two teams leading the battle to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala if he leaves the Serie A champions this summer, according to Il Mattino.

The Italian publication claims the Argentinian international could be sold following reports that the striker’s wage demands are deemed “excessive” by Juve.

Dybala is believed to be asking for around €15m a season (about £260,000 a week) and, with his current deal expiring in 2022, he could be offloaded by the Italian side.

United have been heavily linked with the 26-year-old in the past and it will be interesting to see whether the Red Devils would re-enter the race for the Argentine if he became available again.

Last season, Dybala scored 17 goals and contributed 14 assists in 46 appearances for Juventus. He can play right across the front three, which will no doubt be an attractive asset, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferring to have some flexibility in his frontline.
