United And Chelsea Told They May Have To Pay 52M To Land “Brilliant” World Cup Star

Inter Milan could now demand up to €60m (£52m) for wingback Denzel Dumfries, according to reports in the Italian media.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be interested in the Dutch international, who was praised for his “brilliant” performance against the USA by BBC pundit Micah Richards.

However, it was initially thought that Inter would be happy to sell Dumfries for around €50m (£43m), but it seems as though the Serie A side now want another €10m (£8.6m) in add-ons.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Dumfries is a player that United are scouting, but they are also said to be keen on Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong.

Dumfries’ international teammate is likely to be a lot cheaper, with it being claimed that Leverkusen would be willing to part ways with the defender for just £25m.

After his starring role of the Netherlands at the World Cup, though, United may be tempted to pay extra in order to land Dumfries.
