United And Chelsea Scouted Two Serie A Centre Backs At The Weekend

Manchester United, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund scouts all watched Hellas Verona’s 2-1 win against Genoa on Sunday afternoon, according to reports in Italy.

It is believed that the three clubs were all there to see two centre-backs, Marash Kumbulla and Amir Rrahmani, in action for the home side.

Kumbulla is just 19 years of age, and despite being an Albanian international, he was born in Italy and came through the youth system at Verona.

He has impressed at the back with his team having conceded just 21 goals in 21 league games this campaign.

Rrahmani, meanwhile, joined Verona from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer for just €2m after the Italian club beat off Celtic to win the battle for his signature.

The Kosovan has played an integral part in Verona’s rise to eighth in the table, having started 18 league games this season. The 25-year-old is also comfortable playing as a left-back or at right-back.
