United And Chelsea On Alert With Club Keen To Offload 29 Goal Marksman For Only 34M

Eintracht Frankfurt are keen to offload Andre Silva for just €40m (£34m) this summer, according to AS. The Spanish publication claim the Bundesliga side are looking to raise funds to re-sign Luka Jovic on a permanent basis from Real Madrid and they are ready to sacrifice their top scorer to make it happen.

Manchester United and Chelsea are both interested in Silva, who scored 29 goals in all competitions last season, but neither team have decided to make a concrete bid for the Portuguese international.

The most likely reason why neither team has made their move is due to the fact that Silva isn’t their number one target. United have priorities in other areas of the pitch, while Chelsea are focusing their efforts on Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

There are also some other concerns. While Silva has had a successful time in Germany, he struggled after a big-money move to AC Milan a few years ago and was not able to recapture his form during a loan spell in Spain with Sevilla either. There are, therefore, no guarantees that he would be a prolific scorer in the Premier League.
