United Among SEVEN English Clubs On Alert As Ivorian Midfield Enforcer Rejects New Contract

Manchester United are monitoring AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie’s situation after he rejected the Rossoneri’s latest contract offer, according to 90min.com.

The Red Devils, along with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Everton and Leicester are all being kept in the loop by the Ivorian’s agent, with the player’s current deal at the San Siro set to expire at the end of the season.

90min report that Kessie’s preference would be to move to the Premier League, despite the fact that the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid have also registered their interest in the 24-year-old.

The midfielder is expected to wait until January to decide on his future. He will likely have a number of offers on the table, as he is able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club. Milan are, though, still hopeful that Kessie will stay put.

United could do with someone like the Ivorian international. Many fans and pundits believe the midfield is a key area of weakness, and bringing in reinforcements is likely to happen sooner rather than later.
