United Already Lining Up Pogba’s Replacement With 54M Transfer In The Works

Manchester United have already put in motion an operation to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, according to reports in the Spanish media.

Real Madrid are also said to be keen on the 18-year-old but the La Liga champions are believed to be playing catch-up in the battle to sign the Frenchman with the Red Devils eyeing him as Paul Pogba’s replacement.

It is thought that United are resigned to losing Pogba next summer, with the player having just one year left on his contract at Old Trafford, and they have identified Camavinga as the man to fill his shoes.

The teenager will also have just one year remaining on his deal with Rennes next summer but the Ligue One side are said to be holding out for around €60m (£54m).

The high asking price for Camavinga is likely due to the amount of interest in the midfielder, with the likes of Chelsea having monitored the player, in addition to Real and others.
