United Ace Confirms Injury KO As He Withdraws From International Squad

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has confirmed that he won’t take any part in England’s Nations League matches against Belgium and Iceland.

The 23-year-old sustained a shoulder injury in the 3-1 win over Everton last weekend but it was thought to be a minor issue which would have meant he could have taken some part in the international fixtures this week.

However, after missing the 3-0 friendly win over the Republic of Ireland on Thursday evening, Rashford took to Twitter yesterday to say he would not be involved in England’s remaining games:

It’s good that Rashford is not risking things by playing when he isn’t 100% fit and it will be hoped that another week of rest will be enough for him to feature for United when they face West Brom at Old Trafford next Saturday.

The forward has been in decent form so far this season, having scored seven goals and contributed three assists in 12 appearances.
