Two European Giants Are Plotting Raid On United For 21 Year Old Defender

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are both pursuing Manchester United fullback Diogo Dalot, according to ESPN‘s Rob Dawson.

The reporter claims the two European heavyweights are among a number of clubs who are tracking the Portuguese international ahead of the next transfer window.

Dalot has struggled with fitness issues since his move from Porto in 2018, and he has been restricted to ten games in all competitions this season.

However, despite the injuries and lack of game time, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be keen to keep the 21-year-old at Old Trafford.

Dalot will struggle to get regular first-team football in his favoured position at right-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka firmly established in the role but it is thought that the lack of cover in both fullback positions means he will stay.

Brandon Williams has certainly made an impression when asked to fill in for Luke Shaw, but losing Dalot would leave no real backup for Wan-Bissaka.
