Tranmere V Manchester United: FA Cup Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to avoid a giant-killing when his side travel to Prenton Park tomorrow in their FA Cup tie against League One outfit Tranmere Rovers.

The Merseyside club defeated Watford in the third round replay only on Thursday night and they will be looking for their second upset in the space of a few days.

United will be without Axel Tuanzebe with the defender now scheduled to return from a hamstring injury after the winter break. Paul Pogba (ankle), Scott McTominay (knee), Marcos Rojo (muscular) and Marcus Rashford (back) are also unavailable.

Eric Bailly could, however, make his first appearance of the season after his return to fitness following an ACL injury, while Victor Lindelof could partner him in the centre of defence after recovering from an illness.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Tranmere Rovers:

Romero, Dalot, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw, Fred, Matic, Gomes, Lingard, Greenwood, James

Tranmere are without the injured Ollie Banks, while loan signing Alex Woodyard is cup-tied.

Tranmere’s Predicted XI:

Davies, Caprice, Clarke, Monthe, Ridehalgh, Danns, Jennings, Perkins, Morris, Ferrier, Blackett-Taylor

The bookies have United as the firm favourites with Betfred pricing them at 2/5 odds-on for the win. A draw is 17/4 with William Hill while a Tranmere victory is 8/1 at Coral.

Predicted Score – 1-0 to United
