Tottenham V Manchester United – Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will face his biggest test yet as United boss when his side travel to Wembley to play Tottenham on Sunday.

The Norwegian will have Paul Pogba fit and available with the Frenchman having had intensive treatment on a thigh problem. The midfielder was a doubt for the game at the weekend.

However, Alexis Sanchez could be missing with the Chilean having to be substituted in the 2-0 win over Reading last week after feeling his hamstring. The forward had missed eight games with a hamstring issue and United will be hoping he hasn’t suffered a recurrence.

Chris Smalling is also out of contention due to a foot injury while Marcos Rojo’s injury woes continue with the Argentinian taking longer to recover than expected from another knock.

Spurs currently have five players out injured although one or two could be back ready to play this weekend. Lucas Moura is a doubt due to a knee injury. Eric Dier has had appendicitis but he is closing in on a return to the first team. The United game may, however, come too early for him.

Jan Vertonghen is expected to be fit for the weekend after recovering from a thigh strain, but Victor Wanyama is still sidelined with knee problems. Mousa Dembele has been out with an ankle injury since November and is now expected to complete a move to China.

The bookies are finding this one difficult to call. United are 45/17 at Unibet while a Tottenham win is best priced at 19/17 with the same bookmaker. A draw is 13/5 at Coral.
