Manchester United are holding “detailed talks” about signing both Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund, according to The Athletic‘s Laurie Whitwell.
The trusted journalist claims that the Red Devils are keen to snap up the two forwards, although a deal for Hojlund is believed to be more “likely” at this stage:
#MUFC hold detailed talks over Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.
Erik ten Hag ideally wants a young forward plus an experienced one. Hojlund, 20, falls into former category. Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani also discussed.

Muani is likely to cost €80m (£68.8m) while reports in Italy have valued Hojlund at approximately €60m (£51.6m) so a double deal could total around £120m.
The two players are known to have other suitors. Newcastle and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Hojlund, while Chelsea have been linked with both the Danish international and Muani in recent weeks.
United are pressing ahead with their transfer plans
Even though it was believed that the delay in the sale of the club could hinder the club’s transfer activity this summer, it appears the current owners, the Glazers, are happy to approve signings.
In addition to Muani and Hojlund, reports claim that the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with Chelsea’s Mason Mount, although a transfer fee for the England international still needs to be hashed out.
Reports in Portugal have also suggested that United are pursuing Sporting Lisbon’s Manuel Ugarte, while discussions over recruiting Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer have been held.
