Despite reports to the contrary, Manchester United have yet to agree a transfer fee with Crystal Palace for right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The Guardian‘s Dominic Fifield clarified things last night by saying that the Eagles remain unhappy about the initial fee that the Red Devils are willing to pay:
Still no agreement reached between Crystal Palace and Manchester United after further talks over Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Negotiations will continue, I’d imagine, but fee that would be guaranteed to #cpfc hasn’t risen to a level they would consider acceptable as yet.

Fans on Twitter are growing impatient with United’s negotiation tactics:
This is getting boring

Is he the only player on the wishlist. The days are going and only one signing has been made. What is also going on with the sporting director appointment. We really need one if the club want to go far and stop dwelling on the past glories

This is beyond silly.

Why do @ManUtd mess about just pay the money and move on. It was the same with Gill. Although people seem to forget that.

Reports suggest that the Manchester club’s second bid of £35m plus £15m in add-ons was turned down, with Palace likely to be demanding most of the £50m up front.
Although Wan-Bissaka has been linked with other clubs, including Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal, United appear to be the only team currently in negotiations.
The delay in getting the deal over the line, though, may impact other transfers with local media reports suggesting that the club are only focused on recruiting Wan-Bissaka currently despite other signings being in the pipeline as well.
