The Manchester United first-team squad is split on whether Erik ten Hag should be the club’s next manager, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Some are believed to be excited about the prospect of working with the Dutchman, while others are reportedly rather underwhelmed by his potential appointment.
Needless to say that this new split in the dressing room has not gone down well with supporters on Twitter:
they can leave then

Those that view him as underwhelming are those that will leak and give him problems. The first job I would do if I were him is identify players that don’t key in and get rid

We are sick of these things going on

Let the players who think he is underwhelming, can please leave the club, and hey don’t let the door knock you on your way out

What have those players achieved to think they can judge a coach? Ridiculous

To be fair, every manager has to win over a section of the players when they are first appointed, so it looks as though that will also be the case for ten Hag.
Of course, it is not certain yet that the 52-year-old will be hired to replace the outgoing Ralf Rangnick, but there is considerable speculation now that the Ajax head coach is the favourite for the job, ahead of the likes of PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino and Spain’s Luis Enrique.
