Manchester United are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, according to Sky Sports Germany.
While the news outlet believe that the Red Devils have made Ajax’s Antony their number one target to strengthen in wide areas, they also say “there is interest” in Gnabry, although there are “no concrete negotiations” at the moment.
Gnabry has also been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in recent weeks, and there is a strong possibility that the 26-year-old will leave the Allianz Arena. He has just a year left on his contract and, so far, Bayern have been unable to agree an extension.
With Ajax having reportedly slapped a €80m (£69m) price tag on Antony, Gnabry would certainly be an attractive alternative. The German international could be available for half the price, whilst he has a great deal of experience for both club and country.
At this stage, though, Gnabry remains firmly as a backup option but things could change over the course of the summer.
