The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano has said that Manchester United are not currently pursuing a deal for Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, but the Italian reporter has not completely ruled out the possibility.
Responding to a question on Twitter earlier today, the journalist addressed rumours from Spain that the Red Devils could be a possible destination for the World Cup winner in the summer:
Nothing atm

United have been used by Ramos to get a new contract at Real in the past, and the fact that he is negotiating a new deal at the moment means it’s probably wise to be cautious about a potential transfer. It hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about the possibility, though:

Ramos remains an excellent defender, despite being 34, and his wealth of experience would undoubtedly be of great benefit to United. With his current contract expiring at the end of the season, he could be available on a free transfer, but it’s probably wise not to get your hopes up considering what has happened previously.
