‘There Has Been Some Bite’ Report Reveals United Are Considering Move For Former Arsenal Player

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina this month, according to AreaNapoli.it.

The Italian website says that the Colombian international may well be considered as a potential replacement for Dean Henderson, stating “there has been some bite” in terms of a potential bid from the Red Devils.

Ospina is inside the final six months of his contract with Napoli. Despite being the club’s number one, an agreement has not been reached on a new deal so he will be let go this month, to prevent him from leaving on a free transfer next summer.

Area Napoli report that Ospina has also been proposed to Real Madrid but the Spanish side have already snubbed the chance of signing the ex-Arsenal keeper.

Whether United will make a formal approach for the 33-year-old may depend on whether Henderson leaves. The England international is said to be unhappy at Old Trafford and has already handed in a transfer request.
