The TOP FIVE Bookies Favourites To Win The 2021/22 Premier League Title

With the Premier League season now just nine days away, we thought it would be a good time to see who are the favourites to lift the title.

Manchester City ran away with things last season, but with crowds back in grounds, and money being spent on transfers right across the league, it should be a lot more competitive this time around.

The top five does contain the usual suspects but some of the positions may surprise you as the bookmakers list their odds for the new campaign.

Press the next page as we name the five favourites for the Premier League title (info taken from Oddschecker.com)

5) Tottenham – 40/1 – 66/1

The long odds are unsurprising considering the turbulent summer that Spurs have endured. They interviewed numerous candidates for the manager’s job and eventually landed on former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

With the ongoing drama surrounding the future of Harry Kane likely to seep into the start of the Premier League season, it would be a miracle if they were to be title contenders.

4) Manchester United – 13/2 – 9/1

The Red Devils have undoubtedly strengthened their starting eleven with the additions of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to the squad but there are still some lingering doubts about their title credentials.

Is the midfield partnership of Scott McTominay and Fred good enough? Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer an elite manager who can compete with Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp? We will find out more this campaign.

3) Liverpool – 5/1 – 11/2

The Reds haven’t really done much in the transfer market, which is likely why they have started to slip to third favourites. An injury crisis destroyed their chances of retaining the Premier League last season, so you would expect them to recover somewhat this campaign.

One of the crucial questions that needs to be answered, though, is whether Virgil van Dijk will return to his best after a serious knee injury. If he does, Liverpool will be in the mix.

2) Chelsea – 9/2 – 11/2

The European champions have just begun to edge ahead of Liverpool in the betting stakes, and while they haven’t done much transfer business yet, it appears Romelu Lukaku could be arriving from Inter Milan soon.

If the deal for the Belgian striker is finalised, many would see it as the final piece of the jigsaw for the Blues to mount a strong title challenge this season.

1) Manchester City – 7/10 – 8/13

The holders are odds-on favourites with all the bookmakers currently and it is not surprising, considering the impending arrival of Jack Grealish, and the possible signing of Kane; adding more quality to a squad already brimming with talent.

Pep Guardiola’s side do have the potential to run away with the league again if the other title contenders are not on their game from the start of the season.
