Atalanta could hold out for another twelve months and sell Manchester United target Rasmus Hojlund for €80m (£70.4m), according to reports in the Italian media.

The Red Devils, along with Arsenal, Newcastle and Bayern Munich are all said to be interested in signing the Danish international this summer.

However, it was originally reported that Atalanta may be prepared to sell Hojlund for only €50m (£44m) but it appears that their transfer stance has changed.

The 20-year-old has been compared to Erling Haaland by one of his former coaches and his five goals in just two appearances for Denmark in the last international break have bolstered his reputation further.

United should, though, have a major advantage over their rivals in the battle to snap up Hojlund, with the striker having already revealed that he is a “huge fan” of the Red Devils. We shall see how this transfer story unfolds in the coming weeks.
