‘The Future Is Secured’ ‘Great News!’ ‘Good To See’ Fans On Social Media React As United Secure Player On Four Year Deal

Manchester United have announced that fullback Brandon Williams has signed a new four-year contract with the club.

The 19-year-old made his breakthrough into the first team this campaign, having made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Supporters on Twitter are hoping Williams can kick on and improve now his long-term future has been sorted out:

Like every young player, the defender will be inconsistent at times but he has certainly shown promise when given opportunities by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Being predominantly right-footed, Williams’ future is likely to be at right-back, although his chances of becoming a regular in that role are unlikely considering the presence of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The teenager could well be an able deputy, though, as well as providing cover for Luke Shaw on the left flank when needed. It will be interesting to see how he develops his game at Old Trafford over the next few years.
