‘The First Winter Signing…’ United Tipped To Raid Chelsea For 33M Winger In January

Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech could be Manchester United’s “first winter signing”, according to Fichajes.net.

The transfer window only shut a few weeks ago but there is already speculation about potential moves ahead of January.

Ziyech was believed to have been a target for manager Erik ten Hag over the summer, but reports suggest that United’s board blocked a bid for the Moroccan international.

Whether there is any truth in that, it isn’t known, but Fichajes.net insist that ten Hag is still keen on being reunited with the player he worked with at Ajax before his £33m switch to Chelsea.

You would have thought that the addition of Antony for close to £85m would have cooled interest in Ziyech, considering they both play in similar positions. However, ten Hag may feel that there is still a lack of depth on the right flank.

Considering United are not expected to make funds available in January, and the fact they have previously blocked a move for Ziyech, it’s unlikely he’ll arrive at Old Trafford in the New Year.
