The business Manchester United could conclude on Deadline Day

The business Manchester United could conclude on Deadline Day

Manchester United have enjoyed a successful summer this term, landing Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof, but there’s every chance that further pieces of business could be concluded on Deadline Day.

The Red Devils remain interested in Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, a player they’ve chased ever since concluding a mammoth deal for Lukaku, but the likelihood is that the Croatian will remain at the San Siro for the forthcoming season.

Speculation suggests Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez is an alternative, with the Algerian international being given permission to leave his nation’s training camp today to resolve his future, and rumours still persist on Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale– although a move for the Welshman is extremely unlikely to go ahead.

Remarkably, there has also been suggestions that Manchester United are interested in experienced French full-back Bacary Sagna, who’s available on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal with Manchester City, but that’s one deal that man consider to be extremely unbelievable.

Any Manchester United signings today are likely to come in the wide areas, with Mourinho making it clear he wants to sign a new winger, but a wealth of business could come in the form of outgoing deals.

The Red Devils have already confirmed today that Matty Willock has joined Dutch side FC Utrecht on-loan for the season and there could be further loan deals completed for young assets before the transfer deadline this evening.

In terms of senior departures, young defender Andreas Pereira has attracted heavy interest from Spanish side Valencia but it seems likely that he’ll stay. Maroaune Fellaini, however, could be on the move after reports suggested he’s on the verge of agreeing terms with Turkish outfit Fenerbache.

All in all, it’s likely to be a relatively quiet day for a Manchester United side who have already completed the majority of their transfer business this summer and don’t stand in a position where they desperately need late additions to their squad.

Following a perfect start to the new Premier League season, where the Red Devils have scored ten goals and are yet to concede, the early signs are extremely promising and Jose Mourinho clearly has a very talented squad at his disposal.
