Ten Hag ‘Has His Sights Set’ On Shock Move For £8.7M Rated Eredivisie Star Who Is A ‘Viable Alternative’ To Bellingham

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag “has his sights set” on signing FC Utrecht midfielder Taylor Booth, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim that ten Hag sees the American international as a “viable alternative” to the likes of Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Frenkie de Jong.

Booth came through Bayern Munich’s academy before making the switch to Utrecht on a free transfer last summer. He’s had a pretty unremarkable first season for the Eredivisie side, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in 29 appearances.

However, he was handed his first cap by the USA back in March, and ten Hag seems to think that the 21-year-old has a big future ahead of him.

Despite moving on a free just under twelve months ago, Fichajes report that Booth could now cost as much as €10m (£8.7m). We shall see if United make an offer for the midfielder in the coming weeks.
