Manchester United left-back Alex Telles put in an impressive showing against Istanbul Basaksehir during the 4-1 win at Old Trafford last night.
The Brazilian international delivered 11 crosses into the box, as well as making four key passes; the most of any player on the pitch.
Telles was only starting his third game for the Red Devils but United fans on Twitter are already seeing a marked difference in quality between the 27-year-old and his fellow left-back Luke Shaw:

Finally a left back who can cross

Shaw should never start ahead of him. Telles is miles clear.

Gigantic upgrade on shaw

It must be said that Telles has not been tested playing in a back four as of yet. In the attacking third, he certainly looks to be an upgrade on Shaw but the two teams he has faced, West Brom and Istanbul Basaksehir, whilst playing as a fullback, are not exactly the most threatening.
Even so, it has been a very good start to his United career and he will be looking to put in another top performance when his team travels to St Mary’s to face an in-form Southampton side this weekend.
