Talented United Trio Could Be Set For Loan Spells Away From Old Trafford

Manchester United trio Tahith Chong, James Garner and Angel Gomes could all be sent out on loan in January, according to the club’s academy player performance manager Les Parry.

The three players were due to be given temporary moves in the summer before manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to keep them, but Parry has said that they may revisit that decision when the transfer window reopens:

“Three lads could have possibly gone on loan – Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and James Garner – but he wanted to keep them here and have a look at them on tour.”

“So a decision will be made, no doubt, for January as well. Hopefully, all three will be in the first team and not going anywhere.”

Out of the three, Chong has had the most minutes on the pitch for the first team. The Dutchman started the 1-0 victory over Astana in the Europa League and the win over Rochdale in the Carabao Cup last month.

Gomes has also made two starts, against Astana and AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, and was also given a run out in the 2-0 defeat to West Ham in the Premier League.

Garner has not featured for the first team this campaign, and despite impressing for the Under 23s, it appears the 18-year-old is the likeliest to be sent out on loan.
