Bayer Leverkusen are expected to demand €50m (£44m) for Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong, according to reports in the German media.
The Red Devils are said to be keen on securing the former Celtic player’s signature, but the exorbitant price tag being quoted has got many supporters on Twitter questioning whether he is worth the fee:
Surely not

Frimpong has been in great form, having scored eight goals and provided nine assists this season, despite ostensibly being a fullback.
However, the Netherlands international has often been criticised because of his defensive deficiencies and fans are right to ask whether the club should prioritise a move for the defender.
It is believed that Frimpong is being eyed as a possible replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and, while the Dutchman seems to be an upgrade in terms of his threat in the final third, could the money be better spent in other areas of the pitch?
